With Gretchen Miller, Matott has co-Authored Chapter 41: Papermaking of The Routledge Companion to Health Humanities and Papermaking As Trauma Therapy of Palgrave Encyclopedia of the Health Humanities.

Continuing his collaborative work with Miller and Routledge Press, Matott is co-editing The Art and Art Therapy of Papermaking: Material, Methods, and Applications, due to be published in 2023.

While pursuing his MFA at Columbia College, Matott co-founded the Combat Paper Project and published his MFA dissertation Combat paper in 2008.
